Waiting to schedule an x-ray appointment has taken 30 minutes already. Apparently scheduling new patients or services isn't important anymore. I can't believe things have gone downhill this much.

$2000 for 4 Covid tests. My partner and I got Covid tests in November. She had gotten 2 right about the September- November time period for work and we had been exposed so we wanted to be responsible. The bills all came in the week before Christmas and added up to about $2000 in total. All the bills were entirely different, 2 charged for Doctors fees for a doctor that we never saw, and 2 had a large expense for "outpatient surgery." My test was $544 and I swabbed it myself! The nurses we interacted with were wonderful, but other than asking me basic medical questions and checking my blood pressure, they did not need to do anything. The terrible review is due to the fact that we are still fighting the $2000 bill we were charged for 4 Covid tests. After calling them to go over the charges, I was told that they would not look into the charges because I was out of network. The worst part about it is if we had lied and said we did not have insurance, it would have been covered by the government! DO NOT GO HERE FOR A TEST! Go to Walgreens, or any non-urgent care facility!

Very positive & the woman who did my CAT SCAN was sweet, gentle, kind, & friendly. I was in & out before I knew it. It was getting there that took the time. Thank you BAMS

Radiology; long waits, rude staff and a glaring absence of patients. Poor hospital management.

Thought I had a hernia, tried numerous other quick cares around the greater portland area in hopes to have issue resolved at a cheaper rate, having no health insurance. I was told by almost every place that I called that I needed to visit Maine Health on Brighton ave as they would have the best means of identifying a hernia. I arrived and entered notifying the women at the front door of my situation, I explained I was without health insurance & my concerns of a possible injury. I made it clear that it was not a emergency or really that urgent. I just needed to be checked out so I could continue to work. I was let in by a nice enough staff, I had my blood pressure taken & information updated. A doctor came in and I explained to her my worries, she felt my stomach and notified me she didnt believe I had one. I got a bill in the mail for almost $600. Less then 10 minutes of a doctors time, I called up and asked why the bill was so steep, I was told rather nastily “Its basically a set contract we have so theres nothing we can do, do you want a payment plan?” I said “no sir not until I receive a itemized bill”. He rather douche-like replied “its actually pretty simple but I can do that for you.” Got the bill, $314 for “professional fees” & $250 “urgent care”. What a slap in the face and a sad example of the american medical industry. Thanks for robbing me.
