Dentists are nice. Front desk are the worst rudest employees ever. No eye contact or what's so ever.

Patient for over five years until July 2018 To begin let's look at their positive aspect. For students and family on a budget their price is ok and they offer sliding scale. Negatives. 1.) Staff tend to be on the rude side. Customer service is not their strength and judgemental comments are often heard while waiting to be seen. 2.) Quantity of patients over quality of care is what they focus on. Because of this appointments can take 6 to 8 weeks. This is a problem as it allows mino issues become bigger problems. 3.) Advocating for clients or oneself results in being treated rudely. 4.) Emergencies are not given the time or response as needed. One should not have to find another emergency walk in to discover a problem because their dentist is not willing to explore the matter. 5.) Left last week to become a patient elsewhere and am so happy I did. Overall I would not recommend this place.

I have not gone to the Community Dental in Portland, but it doesn't surprise me to see the overwhelming amount of one stars. I went to the Lewiston clinic. They were generally nice. The last time I was there, about 3 years ago, they said that I had 2 cavities that they would need to fill. I went in for my appointment on the date that was set. They called me in from the waiting room. I was led to a chair, sat comfortably on it, lying back, waiting for the dentist. I was told by the hygenist that they would be working on 3 cavities, not 2. I figured, why did they tell me I had 2 cavities when it appears now I have 3. It seemed odd to me that they would change their story like that. Sounded too arbitrary. So, I got up and left, unwilling to be treated by them if they couldn't get their story straight as to whether I had 2 cavities or 3 cavities. You would think that they would have been aware of the 3 cavities a week or so before. Why wait till I am sitting in the chair at the time of my appointment, thinking I have 2 cavities to be filled, to tell me that I have in fact 3 cavities to be filled. Frankly, I questioned their ethics and motives at that point.

Avoid this clinic at all costs. When I become a new patient here they misplaced my new patient paperwork twice. The paperwork contains all my sensitive medical information. On the fourth attempt to receive an appointment, about a month later the woman at the desk had to manually input my new patients documents because they still had yet to be processed. Two months later I got my cleaning. After I was told I would need to come back in for some further dental work and appointments were made 2 months apart. Today was supposed to be the date of that appointment, but their office just called and told me that their office forgot to send out the proper information to my insurance when the appointment was made. Now I have to wait another month to reschedule. I'm looking for alternate dentists in the area because I genuinely don't think that this office has there stuff together to give care to anyone.

I do not recommend them at all. I was not satisfied with my dental services at all and they have very poor customer service. For my first appointment, I waited almost 20 minutes past my appointment time before they took me in, and the same thing happened the second time as well. Also, during my second visit, I had scheduled my appointment to be had with a specific doctor and when I get in the room it was a completely different doctor. They fixed it and my doctor came in, but we had lost another 15 minutes on top of being taken in 20 minutes late. Not to mention that when I went to pay my bill my care credit was denied, which made no sense, because I called them and they said there was no problem on their end and that we had funds on my card. So when I tried calling community dental back it went straight to voicemail. We've tried calling them about 20 times in the last 2 months and we've also left voicemails and no one has gotten back to us. My whole experience with them has not been a pleasant one at all. I strongly advise looking for any dental office other than this one.
