Dr. Constatine did my hand surgery several years ago and I was so impressed and happy with him and his staff (Cosner Corner location) that now that I've got a severe herniated disc I'm going back to see their spine doc.
I recommend Dr. Constantine, and this practice, highly. I expect the same level of service with my newest issue, but I'll update after treatment, if necessary.
Dr Bowen did a great job with my ankle surgery. He was very informative from day one and makes sure all questions are answered before you leave. He even gave us his personal cell number when I was discharged in case we had any questions or issues. Fredericksburg Orthopaedics is great! The only negative thing I have to say is that the front office staff can be a little unwelcoming at times.
I used to swear by FRED ortho. Quick reliable service. Now that you have joined Mary Wash it is the opposite. I just spent a month trying to get a prescription I have been getting long term. Just to chase it from Spotsy to stafford because “Mary Washington doesn’t call prescriptions to Express Scripts.” Getting a phone call through is impossible. I have sat on hold no less than 25 minutes each time trying to resolve this issue. FredOrtho was great! Mary Washington not so much.
My husband was seen in late 2018 by a PA with a MRI disc from a shoulder injury in hand. She looked at the MRI and assured him he did not have a tear in his rotator cuff, which the MRI clearly shows he did. He also tore his bicep tendon. She told him lots of people want those cut to make the muscles look bigger. She treated him like he was there for pain medication when he never asked for anything. I work in the medical field and was appalled at her bedside manner. He ended up having extensive surgery a few months ago with a much more experienced and professional Dr. Chung.
I have not received good care here. The first visit - dr. Baqai gave me muscle relaxants that interacted with my medications. The pharmacist was appalled by the prescription.
Then I blew out my knee - I was referred to Dr McDermott. He took one look at the x-day and launched into his canned lecture on knee replacement. I tried to ask questions - he kept interrupting me - returning to canned lecture. Finally he said I would have to wait till the pre op appointment and ask Trish. I called twice trying to get information on the surgery and rehab. No response. Finally got to the pre-op appt and Trish gave me no answers - put me off to the hospital. The hospital said the doctor should have set up my post op care.
They would not prescribe pain killers for my knee. Sent me to pain docs who required my records. Then the ortho practice could not get my records over. It took 3 weeks.
My last appointment I had to wait 2 hours.
I will be very happy not to see this awful practice again.
