Dr. Bane is a Navy vet, and was very genuine and caring during our appointment. The nurse was a little soft spoken, but I had wax in my ears so that could be the reason. He looked into my throat and told me what was going on with my voice. He listened to my questions and concerns and gave me adequate answers. Just to be sure and pro-active, I got a second opinion who gave me the same response. Sometimes there are no magic pills to help, hate to admit I am getting older. I have seen him twice already, and both times I have walked out very informed and he has been right on the money. I trust his expertise. I took one star away because I thought the room was cold. Needed a sweater.

I have a recording of Dr. Bane while discussing my surgery for my infected ear pit. Google will not allow me to post but I will try yelp. Dr. Bane yelled at me in front of the nurses so much that they reimbursed me my co-pay (which I NEVER had before coming to this office-my insurance never needed a co-pay) I felt so embarrassed and disrespected I actually cried. This doctor is a scary large older man... I did not feel comfortable with him even before he yelled at me. As a young woman.. I would not deal with him again. Ps. When people come to u with a health issue, as a doctor it’s your job to be professional even if u don’t agree with your patients. This is all due to me asking for pain medication for my ear infection to sleep better before I have my surgery. Instead of giving me other remedies he decided that I didn’t deserve his respect anymore for suggesting something he didn’t agree with. Terrible experience...☹️ I’m very upset about this.

I had a great experience. I woke up with a sudden hearing loss in one ear, and the office seemed very concerned and wanted to work me into the schedule right away. They not only listened to me and my symptoms and then ordered testing, but they were able to treat it with steroids which was able to restore some of my hearing. I was very lucky to get in right away for the steroids to be most effective. I definitely trust his judgement call. The reviews that complain, seems to me they just didnt want to hear his professional opinion on the matter. I also dont think the wait was very long at all, I waited about 15-20 minutes which is very good for a specialist. They tell you in advance to fill out paperwork online on the website before the appointment to cut out the waiting time. Friendly and easy to make the appointment.

Go somewhere else! 1st red flag: Dr. Bane told us my snoring would be nearly gone. Most ENT's don't make this claim. 2nd red flag: After septoplasty surgery, Dr. Bane was nowhere to be found. When I asked the nurses where he was, they said they didn't know, and had a look on their face that suggested this was unusual. I've never had any surgery done where the surgeon did not come see me to make sure everything went well. 3rd red flag: After several followups to have debridement done, at the last one, I told the Dr. that I still can't breathe through both sides of my nose. He suggested I get allergy tested, so I can get allergy shots! I have seasonal allergies, like many people. But the surgery was in September, and my allergies are in springtime. Conclusion: Since having surgery, I HAVE NOT HAD 1 DAY WHERE I CAN BREATHE THROUGH BOTH SIDES OF MY NOSE. Complete waste of money, time off work, and the painful recovery. I strongly recommend you go to a different surgeon. If my insurance had allowed it, I would have liked to get another scan done after surgery to see if he actually did what he said he did. All I know is, he did something wrong. Maybe that's why he left immediately after surgery??

I wish I could rate Dr. Bane's staff apart from him. He has a great staff. However, I found him to be extremely rude and lacking "bedside" manners. Being knowledgeable is one thing, being pleasant is another. He could definitely use some assistance in learning how to at least pretend he cares enough to answer questions versus shrugging his shoulders. Who does that? I was completely turned off. My husband and I were there twice (second time was a follow up visit to view the results of his CT scan) and I found him to be dismissive and very abrubt both times. If you're looking for someone who's willing to take time to listen to your symptoms and then explain what's going on, you might want to keep looking. He's not it.
