This place was staffed with compassionate professionals who are very proficient at their skill. Although I was filled with misgivings and apprehensions about such surgery, everyone from the assistants to the anesthesiologist to the RNs took the time to talk to me and explain what was going to happen.
Nobody told me about the pleasant musical chimes the surgical instruments made. I was expecting more of a dentist's drill buzz. The entire surgery for each eye took less than ten minutes and the effect on my vision was immediate. Colors were more vibrant. Light was entirely different. I could see much more clearly while driving than before, including other drivers in their cars.
Granted after a few months with my renewed sight, I have begun taking it for granted which is sad. My eyes have also changed over that time, and I believe I have become more farsighted than I was immediately after the surgery. I require several different levels of magnification of reading glasses for different tasks. I really do miss the ability to focus in close.
But I wouldn't trade my new vision for the world (except maybe for new living cloned lenses).

Went for my cataract consultation; lots of tests, bright lights and everyone was so great! Compassion for the anxious, friendly, answered all my questions. Put me at ease every step of the way. I am looking forward to my two cataract surgeries! My step-dad had his done here a couple of years ago, and he had no complaints, just praise. Now at 88, he reads a novel every TWO days! New eyes, new life! God Bless Northwest Eye Surgeons!

I received superior service and attention from everyone. The support staff were attentive and made sure I completely understood every aspect of my upcoming treatment. The doctors were personal and and they made sure I understood everything that was going to take place in all aspects of my treatment. I felt that I was in very good hands.

I found Northwest Eye Surgeons to be a very thorough and efficient clinic. Did many tests and explained everything as we went through what I would require to have done. Made me feel very comfortable and such a great staff.

I am most grateful to Dr Banitt and the staff and Northwest Eye Surgeons for the excellent care I have received. I was was sent from Bellingham because the ophthalmologist that I had seen for the first time that morning felt it imperative I be seen immediately by a cornea specialist. So to Smoky Point I went. Two days in a row. Then I was too fly to California. Dr says hi to Kaiser and see Dr while your there. I have now twice. I'm one week I have progress from being unable to even see the eye chart to now reading the eye chart. Thanks guys. I owe you big time.
