Very professional with the latest equipment.. but what we really like is the laid back, comfortable atmosphere and friendliness. They take the time to make you feel like you're a friend of the family. They are also take time to explain or clarify any insurance or payment questions. Today I was throughly content with the answer the bookkeeper/head receptionist gave me regarding a billing question (Medicare versus our vision insurance) but she actually had the doc come out and explain the process in greater detail. I've been going to Dr. Hardy for over 25 years when he first came to Helena. I STILL go to him even though now in Montana City. I plan to keep using him. I like him and trust him. I'm confident you will, too!

Dr. Hardy’s staff was able to fit me in for an emergency visit on a Saturday. I live out of state, was visiting the area, and needed to be seen before I could get home. When I got to his office the front desk person was friendly and professional. His office is spacious and well kept. Best of all is Dr. Hardy himself. He is relaxed yet professional. I explained I was having an issue with my left eye and he went right to work. He asked questions about what conditions I was experiencing and went through a variety of tests. He explained that I had a detached retina. He then took the time to schedule an appointment for me with a surgeon for Monday. Dr. Hardy explained the different types of procedures that the surgeon might do based on what he would see. His delivery was professional and sympathetic. After I left the office Dr. Hardy came outside to give me his card with his cell phone number explaining if I had any questions or concerns I could call him the rest of the weekend. That kind of caring, especially for a first time patient, is hard to find these days.
After my surgery Dr. Hardy called me to let me know that he had received the surgery report for my surgeon. He let me know he hoped I was recovering well and that I could still call him if I needed to. I reached out to him after my week check up to let him know how things were going. He responded with a text letting me know he was happy things were going well with my recovery.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hardy. The kind of personal attention he showed was greatly appreciated and hard to find these days. Especially knowing that I probably won’t see him again, because I live in AZ, his time to check up on me was very thoughtful and considerate.
