This is the most rudest uncaring doctor I ever had the unfortunate experience of meeting. He is a overpaid butcher for lack of a better word.

After spending the evening at the emergency room "with a herniated disc" on the most potent pain medicine they were allowed to give. We were sent home and were told there was nothing they could do for me. My husband asked what we were supposed to do when the meds ware off? They just shrugged their shoulders and sent us away. I was told by the Physician Assistant at Bayhealth that the Surgeon On Call would not come into the ER to see me. The ER staff was very professional and try to put me at ease and it was not in their power to make the On Call surgeon to come in. We made the appointment with the On Call Surgeon office and to my surprise, it was over two weeks out just to get seen. I had already been fighting the back pain seen August. Well with the help of family and friend I was told about Dr. Stephen Malone MD There are not enough words to express my gratitude. The whole team at Dr. Malone office were fantastic, I was very impressed by the way the Office receptionist and Nurse Staff spoke, very friendly and not rushed, even though I was a last –minute appointment. I'd like Dr. Malone's no-nonsense approach, talk to me without hesitation and not a lot of medical mumbo-jumbo, he was direct, to the point, he made sure that I understood exactly my options within the first 5 minutes, then allow me to make my mind up without all the "let’s try this first." My treatment was first class, very professional and put me at complete ease with the procedure. Your team is amazing, caring, professional, and talented. Thanks for all you did for my family. Reception is helpful and kind, Dr. Malone was honest and frank in my diagnosis. He pushes his patients to get the most out of their recovery instead of coddling them.

I was having some problems after a back surgery with another surgeon . He didn’t hesitate to take me as a patient I’m so thankful that he did because he send me to hospital the next day to take different test come to find out I had a blood clot in my leg he send me to the emergency room so I could start getting treatment on it. Still been having trouble I return to er and he got a call that I was there and he came to er asking for them to take other test for me. He seems to me that he cares alot for his patients. He also have a wonderful staff in his office.

Here is my horrific story my wife went to see Dr Malone about severe pain in her neck November of last year He advisor her she would need a neck fusion and assured her it wasn't no big deal for him to perform since he said he literally performed thousands of them. So she basing her decision on what he said and elected to have him perform the procedure after he finished this major operation she followed his after care instructions she was in allot of pain which is normal after this sort of procedure and he also had to cut a piece of bone from her hip to use in the fusion after 6 months of being in a neck brace and periodic appointments through out the six months with Dr Malone to monitor the progress he said she no longer needed the neck brace well after a month without the brace she started feeling sever pain down her arms again so she made a appointment with Dr Malone he examined her neck and said that her neck never fused and as a result collapsed and that he would need to redo the whole procedure and use screws saying that would guarantee this wouldn't happen again so she was reluctant but the pain was so severe she elected to have him redo it again in June so this time he cut a piece of bone from her back and redid the procedure after he was done he didn't even care enough to come out in the patient waiting room like all the other Doctors did to let me know how everything went I had to have a bed side nurse contact him on his phone to even find out how the procedure went the nurse seemed upset by the fact he never even cared enough to give me an update when I did talk to him on the phone he said he had to run to his office which is a poor excuse after all isn't the reason for becoming a doctor in the first place is to care for your patients and their families. She was again in severe debilitating pain after the second operation that she had to undergo because of the failed first one she once again followed his after care instructions and wore a neck brace through out the whole summer well in October she still felt pain that wasn't normal so she went to See Dr Malone after examining her neck he told her now the screws failed and she would have to go through a third procedure and this time he was going to install rods to support her neck she came out of his office crying oh so hard because of all the pain she has already endured through out the year and thinking she now has to go through it again a third time because of these failed procedures I comforted her the best I could. So she elected to have these rods installed in a third procedure for the same neck fusion that already failed twice Dr Malone said this would guarantee that it would not keep collapsing which we already heard once before but the pain from the nerves running down her arms was so debilitating that she just wanted it fixed so she could lead a normal life. So he once again cut her back in the same place as the last failed procedure and toke bone and installed rods and screws in her neck after the procedure was done they kept her 1 night in the hospital the next day I picked her up she was of course in allot of pain again for the third time in less then a year so she came home and the most unthinkable happened at 3:30 in the morning she went into a sudden cardiac arrest and even though I got her to the hospital in time for them to resuscitate her heart the damage to her brain was to severe and my wife and life partner of 30 years passed away leaving me in the worst heartbreak that one could ever endure. I feel the stress on her body from all these failed operations had something to do with it I also feel that Dr Malone should have installed the rods on the second operation once he discovered her neck collapsed the first time so to guarantee she wouldn't need to go through this major operation and associated pain a third time plus he got paid 3 times . I would not recommend this doctor if he was the last doctor left on earth I feel my beautiful wife would want me to share her horrific experience if it will help others make informed decisions
