My 14 year old daughter had a stye removed mid April. At the time of the procedure, Dr Matthews said, " if it turns out not as flat as you would like, come back, we will take care of it for you." After her eye was given time to heal, about 2 weeks later I called to schedule another appointment - the stye went down slightly but NEVER went flat or even close to flat. It took a WHOLE 5 MONTHS to get back on Dr. Matthews schedule. Today, 9/21/21, at the appointment we had to wait 5 months for, Misty, the Office Manager, says we need to pay full price for the procedure again. Misty tried to manipulate the situation to seem as if this was a whole new stye that grew BACK. Ummm, NO MA'AM, it was the same stye that Dr. Matthew failed to remove all of - which the doctor HERSELF SAID that may be a possibility and to come back if so. Even the other receptionist said, "you have a 10 day window..." EXACTLY, which is why I called within that timeframe, THEN WAITED PATIENTLY FOR 5 MONTHS!!!!! Needless to say, we left without getting the procedure done. Misty and whomever in cahoots with ripping off insurance companies need to know that in the end, the patients suffer! TRY CARING ABOUT YOUR PATIENTS vs. SHADY OVERBILLING PRACTICES! I'm considering filing a formal complaint... 5 months JUST to be put on the schedule and THIS is the outcome?? That's just not right!

Dr. Matthews is an extremely talented, professional opthamalogist. Her skills are readily evident in the exam room, not to mention the surgery center. In addition, she and her staff are highly knowledgeable and caring. You won't encounter a better eye care team anywhere!

The staff was kind, friendly and very helpful. The office was clean and inviting. The doctor's assistants was nice, helpful. Dr. Mathews was super attentive and explained my condition and treatment options thoroughly. My visit was stress free. I would recommend Palmer Eye Center to all my friends and relatives.

I have been going here for 4 years to get my annual eye exam and contact prescription. The last time I went in to get my annual exam and contact prescription they performed the exam, billed my insurance, and accidentally printed my old expired prescription. When I called to get the updated one I was told they do not write prescriptions and that they could not provide me with my prescription. The front desk person who answered the phone was extremely rude to me and it took her 30 minutes to find out that they even did annual eye exams. The previous 3 years they were able to provide me an updated prescription so not sure what changed. This place is horrible and should be avoided.

I was absolutely impressed with Dr. Matthews and the staff there at Palmer Eye Care! Everyone was very professional and friendly. They made me feel safe and I trust them. I highly recommend Palmer Eye Care. The place is immaculate including the bathrooms! I travel an hour to visit their office. I’ve been recommending my family and friends to visit Palmer Eye Care. Best place for eye care!
