I'm sort of anti-dentist to begin with. But that said, seeing a dentist for problems is inevitable. Comparing HFD to my previous dentist on a deep clean -- my prior dentist did not numb the gums prior to the procedure but HFD did. So, it made the process tolerable. The staff is excellent at working with the insurances and everyone is cheerful.

I am a very nervous dental patient due to previous treatments at another office on the mainland. Hawaii Family Dental is the best dental practice I’ve been to. From the friendly and professional front desk staff to the dental techs and dentists. I received top notch great care that was pain free with filling a cavity and I have now scheduled a bridge.

Today is 10/23/2018, my husbands cleaning appoinment was scheduled for 10/25/2018. I called to cancel his appointment due to work related issue. Gabby told me we would be charged a cancelation fee if we didnt reschedule, so I told her ok is there anything next month, she put me on hold and transferred me to Sasha. Sasha made it a point to inform us that if he cancels on the next appointment we would be charged for that appointment and the appt that was scheduled on the 25th.
I snapped at her about how upset I was that they had cancelled my appointments without advance notice in the past, once while I was about to leave my house to go to my appointment, and on a different incident I had actually made it to the receptionist counter and the receptionist told me my appointment was cancelled because the dentist called in sick.
I tried to reschedule a time suitable for my husband. He finishes work at 3:30pm Monday-friday. So he could only be scheduled after 3:30pm. Sasha stated "the doctor only sees deliveries during that time" (I have no idea what that means). I made sure to cancel any and all future appointments for my entire family.
