So far we have been here three times. All of the staff have been very welcoming and ready to listen to all questions and concerns. Yes, the wait is long most of the time, but it is well worth it. They want to make sure you are well informed before making any decisions on health plans and options. The only reason I am not rating them a 5 is due to the wait times.

This place is UNPROFESSIONAL! My appointment was at 4:15pm. I got off work early to accommodate my sons appointment and it’s currently 5:05pm and I still have not been seen! This is ridiculous! I could have gotten off at a later time if I knew I would be sitting here almost 1 hour to be seen for a 15 minute appointment. I am DISGUSTED!!!!!!!!!

My kids are always seen quickly, usually not any longer of a wait in any doctors office than I expect. The front desk always has a smile for us and the nurses are sweet. My son just had his annual checkup and this was our first time with Dr Greer. I was completely impressed with her efficiency, thoroughness, and the light-hearted way she interacted with my son on a level that made him feel comfortable with her. All the doctors through rotation and on staff have always been great and I love this office.

I took my son for a regular check up at Cone Health Center for Children, while their I experienced poor care from Dr Elyse Barnett, she wanted to give my son vaccines, some live vaccines and the flu shot. I explained to Dr Barnett that my son had finished chemo this year and that I was not confident that he should be getting vaccines at this time due to the fact that Chemo weakens the immune system. This Dr was persistent in trying to give my son vaccines, she looked online and couldn't find anything definitive on how long to wait to give vaccines to someone who has gone through chemo, after her failed online help she asked four of her colleagues, all Doctors she claimed, and they all said that it was ok to give my son vaccines, both live and killed. As a parent I thought maybe it would be best to call the Doctors at Brenners , who treated my son during his chemo, and ask them if it is safe for my son to have vaccines, giving that Dr Barnett was running around asking her colleagues within the office who didn't know anything about my son and what his status was, also the Dr didn't feel the need to ask someone, like his Doctor at Brenner Wake Forest who would definitely know the answer to our question. As I waited for Brenners to call me back, the Dr Barnett returned and was all to ready to give me son three vaccines and flu shot, so I explained to Dr Barnett once again that I did not feel confident in letting my son get these vaccines, especially since Brenners in August of this year said that we should hold off on vaccines due to his weaken immune system following chemo, all explained to Dr Barnett. De Barnett reluctantly agreed to a rescheduling until I heard back from the medical personnel from Brenners, after being "challenged" Dr Barnett decided she could no longer be of any help, like with his prescription refills, which she and the nurse had previously said was not a problem and getting refills has never been a problem in the past, getting refills for his prescriptions is a normal standard with his doctor visits but now it was complicated. So after a polite but awkward goodbye, without any vaccines or prescription refills, me and my son made our exit. While getting his excuse for school at the front desk I received the call back from Brenners and the team their said that my son should absolutely not get live vaccination. I'm so glad that I followed my instincts for my son's health and challenged the persistent Dr Barnett and her colleagues from Cone Health Center for Children who wanted to give my child who is a wonderful strong resilient five year old survivor with a temporarily weakened immune system a live vaccine .
