I honestly put this appointment off until I absolutely had to go because I have major anxiety after a horrific experience at a different dental facility. Because I had a cracked wisdom tooth and needed an emergency appointment, my regular dentist referred me to UB. I shook like a leaf the entire time, but they were the kindest people, and treated me with utmost professionalism. I felt comfortable in their care. Ethan, the one who performed the extraction was very good. I was expecting to have more than Novocain for a wisdom tooth extraction, especially with my nerves, but I understand that this is a school, and that at times means choosing to not have the luxuries of comforts that a regular dental office would provide. My only critique is when I voiced pain, they asked “just pressure though, right? That’s perfectly normal, you’re doing great.” I said no, pain…like it’s SORE. They said it was normal, but I was surprised to feel that much pain even with Novocain. I also was pretty surprised they didn’t give ANYTHING for pain. I wasn’t looking for a narcotic, but arriving in pain and leaving in pain was slightly disappointing. Having taken some OTC meds at home now, the edge is taken off and I’m starting to feel better. I think it’s important to remember they do everything they can , but at the end of the day, they can’t help the fact that pulling a wisdom tooth is uncomfortable. I will absolutely be back as a regular patient. Super impressed with my care overall, and a thank you to everyone involved. I know severe anxiety is a difficult thing to deal with, and I appreciate the fact that they calmed my nerves enough that I will return and continue improving my smile. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

So far it's great. I've only had my 1sr appointment. It went great. Ins covered the $70 for the 18 old school x-rays. My cost for the appointment is $5.00. Not sure why the $5 is being charged. I don't care. I was there 2 hours. I'm never in a rush. I'm interested in how things run and work so I was happy to sit there. The student I had did explain some things. She examined me. A Dr/Dentist took a quick look then spoke with me. No problems at all. I feel like I'm in good hands. I don't go into a place looking to certify the bad reviews I read online. I'm looking for a great experience and so far it's great. They will most likely do some work next appointment. I'm guessing they will call me??? Not sure when.

Started coming here, because my son decided he wanted braces. I thought you needed to be a patient at the Dental clinic in order to get braces from the university. Which is not the case at all. You can receive dental care from else where and still come to the university for braces or invisaligners. They don't accept most insurances he at the dental clinic. With my insurance I have to get the bill in the mail, then call the insurance company myself to get reimbursed. As far as for the braces or invisaligners NO insurance is accepted! You would have to do a payment plan. I came to the UB of medicine for the price of the braces. They are cheaper than going else where even with insurance. A little FYI parking is free, you have to go in and get a parking pass. There are 3 different lots you could park in. The parking alot right next to the Squire Hall which is the building the dental offices are is always busy.

UB dental is really not a good way to go..! ---- The implants took years instead of months. The student doctor who I initially worked with was good, however, after she left I was assigned two others who had no clue what my procedures were. There was... NO FILE. They SOLD my personal information to a collection company after I left the company to finish my implants with a real dentist... saying I owed them money, when my account was paid to date.
I wrote them letters to have the collection companies back off, but they won't reply back to me. My credit score fell 120 points. UB Dental is not a trustworthy operation--- how can they SELL my social security number, and my personal information and get away with it.
Beware of these people..!
