My experience with this practice is borderline negligence. I was accepted as a new patient and my previous pediatrician mailed my records. When I called the after hours emergency service line the answering service informed me that the doctor would call me and if I didn't hear back within 30 minutes to call back. After 40 minutes I called back and the answering service informed me that the doctor would not call me because they couldn't find my records in the system. They would not even call me to tell me that. I am a new patient and a worried mother dealing with a serious situation and they wouldn't even call me to tell me they couldn't give me medical advice never mind point me in the direction of where I could go to for options. I followed up with the office manager the following day regarding the situation. She was extremely rude and offered no explanation other then we don't have your records. I told her this was unacceptable treatment of a patient and I could not in good faith take my child there. I followed up with my previous pediatrician and they informed me that they sent the records over two weeks prior to this incident (and now they couldn't treat my daughter because South County has the records) I followed up with the office manager again and she informed me they did find my records (didn't feel the courtesy or obligation to call because I said I was not going to go there). I asked when they received them and she could not tell me and when I asked about their procedure for receiving medical records she said I don't need to know their procedure and proceeded to argue and yell at me over the phone. Wow. If that's the response to an inquiring parent how could I ever trust this group with my child's health. I told them I'd be writing this review and following up on their treatment of patients and they didn't care. So here it is, please beware. I have never been treated this way, ever, by a healthcare practice never mind one for children.
