I had my right hip replacement surgery done by Dr. Jenkins in March 2018 and I cannot thank him enough. For years I had pain and limited range of motion in my right hip, but was reluctant to undergo a hip replacement, as I did not know what to expect. My PCP recommended Dr. Jenkins and I am glad she did. Prior to surgery, he answered all of my questions, was reassuring and told me I would do great. And, I did! I never realized how much my hip pain affected my life until after my surgery. Now, I have no pain, my range of motion is back, I can do activities I could no longer do, and my energy is back! I highly recommend Dr. Jenkins!

Since I had my surgery with Dr. Jenkins, my whole life turned around for the better. I tell everyone, "I am 62 and feel brand new!" It is amazing, I have absolutely no pain, I am walking straight again, standing tall, and can finally enjoy walking and hiking again. Before the surgery I had difficulty even walking up my inclined driveway. I went hiking in Hawaii three months after my surgery and because of the surgery I could enjoy everything Hawaii had to offer. It's funny, I see folks at work, volunteers and visitors (I work at a national wildlife refuge) and they say "you are looking good", and I think - did I do my hair different, new earrings, but than they say, I can't believe how straight you are walking, and you're not limping anymore! Oh, I forgot, I had a total hip replacement! That's how amazing my surgery was! Who forgets they had major hip surgery - I do, it's because I have no pain, and living my life like I was younger. And how lucky am I, Dr. Jenkins is much younger than me, so I have a surgeon for life, just in case I need the other hip or knees down the line. I am so happy with my life right now, I can say it strong enough. I am tremendously grateful for Dr. Derek Jenkins. He is truly a miracle worker and a treasure, and add in that he is also so sweet to meet. Plus I love his team of professionals! Janis

Happy Thanksgiving 11/23/2017 .What I am most thankful for this day is Dr Jenkins and his staff. He performed life changing surgery on me 10/6/17. He did total knee replaced on my right knee. I am 60 years young and work as a industrial production equipment tech. I spend a lot of time on cement floors on my knees doing equipment repairs. I have lived with knee pain for 10 or more years.Every 10 or more steps take a hot knife and shove it in your knee.Anyone who has bone on bone knows what I mean.I have advanced arthritis under both knee caps also. I was told I need total knee replacement or to find a good wheel chair. I met with Dr Jenkins and he explained what needed to be done .He looked me in the eye and told me He would take my pain away. I admit I was apprehensive Derek shook my hand and told me it would be alright.I went home to tell my wife I was going forward with the surgery. She asked me how I felt about the new surgeon I had just met. I told her Dr Jenkins told me he would take my pain away ,and I knew it would be alright, he has the skill ,and the strongest hands I have ever felt. Two weeks post op I went to see Dr Jenkins.I told him I wait for the pain when I step but it just not there .He smile and said Harold I took it all out it's not there any more . I look forward to March when Dr Jenkins will do the other knee. So yes I am thankful on this day of thanks for Dr Jenkins and the staff . If you have this kind of pain don't wait 10 years.I do mean it is life changing and I can't thank Dr Jenkins enough.

For over 2 years I have been in pain from 2 failed hip surgeries. I finally found Dr. Jenkins and he did a third surgery... he has totally changed my life, no more pain, and I am walking better. My attitude is better, and I look at life a whole different way. He's not only a doctor, he is a great doctor. I love what he has done for me, didn't think it was possible. THANK YOU!!!!

I had a vascular necrosis in both hips. I was using a wheelchair whenever I had to walk more than 50 feet. I have Crohn's disease and the medication I take put me at significant risk for infection and poor wound healing. Most orthopedic surgeons would not even think about replacing my hips. But Dr Jenkins took on the very difficult challenge. And now I walk unaided I feel like I've gotten my life back! I feel like I'm thirty again. My life is so wonderful now. After using a cane for 7 years just to get around the house I am able to take care of my house and cook and go shopping, I so amazed at how incredible I feel. I can't thank Dr Jenkins enough, he saved me from a life of being relegated to a wheelchair. The very best part of all of this is I can now play with my grandsons and feel like a normal person for the first time in 7 years! I would recommend this incredible Dr to my family and friends!
