I had hip arthroscopy for FAI and labral tear. Dr. Byrd and his team treated me the best. I highly recommend this practice.

My husband John was a patient of Dr. Byrd’s as a result of a fall while on the blood thinner eliquis, resulting in a very large hematoma on his knee. He could not walk and was in a wheel chair. Dr. Byrd was willing to see John on an emergency basis, as well as his nurse practitioner. Images showed no serious damage and the nurse helped with treatment and bandages and ongoing care by me. Dr. Byrd saw John two more times to help speed his recovery so that we could go on a special trip we had planned. He was very concerned and compassionate and next prescribed physical therapy by his excellent team at the hip institute. Without the institute doctor, nurses and therapists going the extra mile, John’s recovery would probably have taken twice as long. We are both so very grateful and cannot say enough good things about the doctor and his excellent staff.

Nashville Hip Institute was an answered prayer. Piriformis Syndrome Pain took away 5 quality years of my life Finding Dr. Byrd, who is so familiar with this Pain, helped me. I have 3 more months of recovery after surgery. Physical Therapy, retraining my muscle to recover, is so important after surgery. I’m so encouraged and don’t walk with a limp or crooked anymore. The staff is awesome, his Surgery team and physical therapy is superb!

Worst communication and most dis-organized I have seen in a medical Facility. Sent me for MRI X-rays, but then never heard anything from them. It's been 7 months and I believe they dropped me because I am a Veteran and they didn't want to deal with the VA. Had high hopes for an experienced surgeon to do surgery on my hips, but I will have to look somewhere else.

A VERY caring doctor, I live an hour and a half from Dr. Byrd's office. He always was able to get any tests or procedures that I had to get done that day. The only specialist that I have ever seen without hours in the waiting room. The staff is excellent. I was able to do physical therapy close to home. Really a great doctor, explains what is going on and what he can do to fix it.
